Our Mission Statement

The Vernon Tennis Association shall work towards educating its members and the population of the Greater Vernon area as to the social and physical benefits of playing and supporting tennis.
The Association will offer professional tennis instruction, tournament play, and league competition to its membership, residents of Greater Vernon, and the surrounding area, as a means of enhancing Community relations in general.
The Association will provide a legal body to coordinate tennis activities within the community, between other communities, and with tennis organizations such as Tennis BC and Tennis Canada, that have similar interests.
The Association will also actively encourage and solicit the development of new tennis facilities enabling outreach to more tennis players in the Vernon area.

Come and be a part of the VTA, and learn what we have in store for the 2024 season. The warmer than usual spring is here, the nets are up and tennis is already to go. As the VTA has become the voice of tennis in Vernon, participating on the Board of Directors or just heplping coordinate events is encouraged and is something all our members can think about. Besides our own programs which are:
Tennis Leagues,
FAST (Fun Adult Starter Tennis),
Skills and Drills,
Drop In opportunities,
Junior programs,
we will also be reviewing our communication with Vernon over the past year, and our plans for the future.
The Board is looking for new Board members – only once a month meeting from spring to fall. You don’t have to have an official position, just be a Board Member at Large and help where ever you are needed. No particular skills are needed, just a desire to see tennis in Vernon have a really good future!
Those wishing to learn or enhance their tennis skills, are invited to let our Board of Directors know the direction they would like to see the VTA go in the future. Your voice is important to us. Thank you.

VERNON TENNIS ASSOCIATION holds it’s Annual General Meetings (AGM) in the middle of April of every year.
The VTA does not open for play until after the AGM. Our Tennis Programs and Schedules will commence on Monday, April 29th, 2024. Membership Registrations (on-line only) are also not available until April 18th. VTA memberships are valid from April to April of the next year. The VTA is a public, out-door, seasonal, tennis facility serving the Vernon and area communities.
